Yep, currently humming this beautiful song from Ayan Mukherjee's latest flick "Yeh Jawani hai dewani". This awesome track is composed by Pritam. A great composition indeed ! Pritam is ably supported by singers Rekha Bharadwaj, Tochi Raina & lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya.
Now, what makes a song special? Well, for me it is very important that the tune is melodious & soothing. But the words must also be equally appealing. For "Kaisi teri khudgarzi" I think both Pritam & Amitabh Bhattacharya did a commendable job. The tune and wordings give this piece of music a soulful flavour. Hats off guys !!!
I am truly an admirer of Rekha Bharadwaj. Her tone is off-bit & probably no one else could have sung it better. Simply put, her voice touches my heart. Haven't heard Tochi Raina before. He really impresses me here.
Last but not the least, I would like to mention that the director should also be credited for selecting this fine number for his film. He definitely has an ear for quality music.
